Evolution of dance

This is too funny! I found it looking for the Wedding Got Back video, also funny, but they got enough publicity on the Today Show.

Where do you wear your manhood?

O.k. guys, seriously... Is it that important? I just don't really have words for this. At first I thought it was cool, but then I looked at the price tag and then at the things NOT included!? Is this something you would buy for yourself, or hope to receive as a gift? I'm just curious (as I've been looking for an anniversary gift for Ernie).

There are a whole lot of other useless things on this website as well. Check it out, let me know what you think.

I love to cook!

So, now that I've been spending more time at home, I've been able to do a lot more cooking. I forgot how much I enjoy cooking. As many times as I've Googled a recipe, I have never noticed how cool some of the recipe databases are. I really like Recipe Zaar because it has some really great features for storing recipes, menus, meal plans, shopping lists, etc... That being said, I stumbled upon another silly "personality" quiz. Personally I don't see it, especially the demeaning part!

Which Food Network chef are you?

To the rescue!
Take this quiz!

Belly

So, I'm not really obsessed, but I did stumble upon this one on You Tube and had to post it. The thing I like about this one is not only a very young Belly, but also the bonus footage of a really young Letterman! And check it out - Paul Schaffer got to rock w/ Belly!!! LUCKY!

Who AM I???

I found this interesting psychology tool on another blog and thought I'd give it a go... Please, be brutally honest! Here's the link to my Johari Window. You can read more about it on Wikipedia.

It Has Been Confirmed...

Your Score: Pure Nerd
56 % Nerd, 4% Geek, 13% Dork

For The Record: A Nerd is someone who is passionate about learning/being smart/academia. A Geek is someone who is passionate about some particular area or subject, often an obscure or difficult one. A Dork is someone who has difficulty with common social expectations/interactions. You scored better than half in Nerd, earning you the title of: Pure Nerd. The times, they are a-changing. It used to be that being exceptionally smart led to being unpopular, which would ultimately lead to picking up all of the traits and tendences associated with the "dork." No-longer. Being smart isn't as socially crippling as it once was, and even more so as you get older: eventually being a Pure Nerd will likely be replaced with the following label: Purely Successful. Congratulations!

Soundtrack of My Life?

The Soundtrack of Your Life:

The Rules: Open your computer music files, iPod, etc. and set to 'shuffle'. Whatever song plays first goes in the first slot (no cheating!). When you go to a new question, hit the 'next' button and continue doing so until all blanks are filled.)

1. Opening Credits: "Something's Missing" - John Mayer
2. Birth: "Viginti Tres" - Tool
3. First Day At School: "Sound of Pulling Heaven" - Blue October
4. Falling In Love: "Molly Malone" - The Dubliners
5. Fight Song: "Daughters" - John Mayer
6. Breaking Up: "Newgrange" - Clannad
7. Prom: "Miami International"- David Arnold (Casino Royale Soundtrack)
8. Life: "Night and Day"- The Temptations
9. Mental Breakdown: "Per Te" - Josh Groban
10. Driving: "Never Say Goodbye"- Bon Jovi
11. Flashback: "Wings for Marie (Part 1)"- Tool
12. Wedding: "I Love You" - Sarah McLachlan (Funny, that is all I remembered to say!)
13. Birth of a Child: "18th Floor Balcony" - Blue October
14. Final Battle: "Too Marvelous For Words" - Frank Sinatra
15. Death Scene: "Spirit's in the Material World"- The Police
16. Funeral: "Summerhouse" - Better Than Ezra (ok, that's kinda creepy...)
17. Ending Credits: "Wanted Dead or Alive" - Bon Jovi

Wow! So that's the story of my life... very... hmmmm.... Eclectic, that's the word I was trying to think of. There's just not much else that can be said about that. Thanks JEWLOVER2, thanks A LOT!

Here at Home (and Kayaking)

Well, here I am, at home, finally... After years of thinking that working for the man was what it's all about, I've come to the realization that there truly IS more to life. Everyone has been asking me what my plan is, and at this point I don't have a real solid one. I'm going to spend time in service and with Catherine, working the land, doing some painting (on the walls and on canvas), and if there is time I have some other miscellaneous home improvement projects I'd like to get to. I'll also be working some from home. That's pretty much my plan. If any of you other stay/work at home moms have some words of wisdom, please send them my way!

I actually got to go kayaking on Monday. My uncle, Dennis gave me a beautiful green touring kayak when we went to visit in March and I've been dying to take it out. Although it was Harpeth River, it was at least water; I just made sure to paddle quickly past the clusters of drunk rednecks overflowing from rented john boats and canoes. Aside from the fact that Monday was a holiday and I was not the only one with the idea, it was a great day for it. Ernie and Catherine got to enjoy some father/daughter bonding waiting for me at the pick up point (more drunk rednecks made for less than perfect fishing conditions). I'd like to float the Duck River sometime soon... I've heard there are good opportunities to observe wildlife (other than the red necked homo sapiens variety).
